All Eligibility criteria must be met by all applicants in order to be accepted into the Turning Point Project.
Each participant must meet HUD's definition of homelessness.
Written documentation signed by a human service agency provider must verify the applicant has been a resident of the eleven county area served by the project for at least 6 months of the 12 months prior to the date of the application.
Verification of the homeless situation and domestic violence factors must be provided in writing at the time of application.
Priority eligibility will be given to households with children who are homeless as a result of domestic violence.
HUD's definition of homeless does not include any individual imprisoned or otherwise detained under an Act of Congress or a State Law.
Persons residing in or approved for residency in any HUD subsidized individual housing unit (i.e. section 8) at the time of acceptance are not eligible for project participation.
